Nose
Deep amber. Dark caramel, leather, dried orange peel, baked apple, tobacco, polished oak and a faint hint of antique furniture wax — unmistakably old bourbon.
Palate
Layered and silky: dark toffee, dried fig, candied pecan, baked cherry, tobacco leaf, clove and rich vanilla. The 101-proof bump gives noticeable mid-palate weight without sacrificing elegance.
Finish
Exceptionally long. Toasted oak, dried fruit, cocoa, leather and a slow baking-spice fade that holds for minutes.
Flavor
Serving Suggestion
Pour neat into a Glencairn at room temperature and let it open for five to ten minutes. A single small drop of spring water will lift the nose without thinning the texture. Mixing is not the point — this is a contemplative pour.
